As the graphic designer for the University of Dayton School of Engineering assisting the Office of the Dean and the Technical Content Developer, my role was creating and maintaining promotional and internal documents and fliers.
Following the university's brand guidelines, I crafted designs from multiple shared elements and specific typographic standards. Custom-made gradients are intrinsic to the identity of the school and what they stand for. That lead to playing around with light and its influences on titles and opacity. I was given the freedom to experiment and make each design unique in its own way while staying true to the overall brand.
I am immensely thankful for the experience I gained working for the School of Engineering. From strengthening design principles to managing file structures, I have grown tremendously as a designer. Perhaps most importantly, I learned a lot about client relations from receiving and maintaining revisions to keeping everything organized for any future designer.
Having experience with print and digital content creation, I am confident in my abilities as a designer and am eager to learn and experience more—to contribute more and to be a part of a team as driven by design as myself.
